date cashew frosting for cakes

1 cup raw cashews

2 cups water for soaking cashews

10 large Medjool dates, 

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup water for blending frosting - more if needed but will loosen frosting 


soak cashews for 2 hours, remove water. 

next blend with a small amount of water to make cashew cream.

add the vanilla and dates and continue to grind till smooth - use a tiny bit of water at a time for frosting and if for a glaze then more water can be used but be cautious.

remove from blender into a container for up to a week.
