fish cakes low carb

8oz  white fish 

1 clove garlic minced 

1/2 onion 

1 egg beaten 

1 TB dried dill (4 TB fresh) 

1/2 tsp old bay 

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp kosher salt 

10 g casava flour 

oil for frying & corn, rice or potato starch for coating 

in a food processor (or by hand mince everything) place all the ingredients other than the fish and blend together. 

after the mix is ready add diced fresh fish and add it to the food processor. 

pulse until combine but not minced. 

form then fish cakes- i used a small scoop to keep the size, then rolled them into shapes desired and then roll them in the starch. add them to a heated pan with oil and or butter. 

heat a frying pan and add small amount of oil, add the fish cakes in the pan turn them once then serve once frim. 

quick sauce: plain yogurt, dill, lemon juice, one clove garlic
